last week i attended a johnnie walker scotch whiskey hosted by parlay studios in jersey city. the event was a lot of fun with a great set up, and great learning experience for a newbie, like myself. definitely got to appreciate johnnie, and will be adding it to my bar. 

i tasted:

• black - nice and smoky, like it best on ice
  
• double black - much more smoky, maybe too much for me
• red - the fun whiskey that is great for mixing, preferably with orangina
• gold - best served frozen with desert
• blue - goes down like melting butter, for those special occations

...beacause they never quite go out of style.

i love the red leather trench!

i'm so excited to see one of my favorite designer's capsule collection- versace for h&m, hitting the store november 19th !!! i love these looks and they look undeniably versace.

and there is a h&m opening in jersey city's newport mall next week, just in time!

Artist Ahae has a serenely beautiful photography exposition in NYC of nature and landscapes all taken through one window of his South Korea home and studio. Ahae took over 1 million photographs during the time span between 2008-2010, and you can see 50 of these selections at "Through My Window: Vibrancy and Serenity" showing at Grand Central. 

happy fifth birthday to my adorable nephew, christopher! 

morrell and i got to baby sit chris and his brother, so we gave chris a little birthday party.  we made tacos, and matthew helped cook - he is a little chef! and of course we made chocolate cupcakes!
