i had the amazing privilege to be a participant at the american contemporary art fair held at the javits center in new york city. it was an amazing opportunity to exhibit my artwork on a world-class platform - in a venue that connects people from every corner of the globe, and among high caliber and extremely talented artists.

yesterday i attended the raise cache fashion show event to benefit nyc tech start ups in nyc via hackny. it was a great event held at the state armory with good drinks and food, music by dubset, and some fab fashion. the event gathered over 1500, and the innovation in the room was buzzing. i went with my good friend nisha, who is near the launch of her own start up - and i give her all my support! she is behind trenvy, which will be redefining social fashion. make sure you check it out! photos from the fashion show below: Artist Ahae has a serenely beautiful photography exposition in NYC of nature and landscapes all taken through one window of his South Korea home and studio. Ahae took over 1 million photographs during the time span between 2008-2010, and you can see 50 of these selections at "Through My Window: Vibrancy and Serenity" showing at Grand Central.
i got to go to the colbert report taping on monday, and it was an awesome experience! they hype the audience pretty good with some stand up, and pretty much tell us to laugh whether its funny or not, bc 'colbert eats that shit up'. he does feed off the audience though so it is important to give him the energy. sitting in the front row was pretty neat since the studio is pretty intimate, so you were right there and got to interact with him, like give him high fives when he does his crazy run-around. he did do a wink and point at me though, because clearly i was pretty excited sitting there, so hey i did one back at him. he is a very nice and smart guy and came to shake our hands afterwards and do a q&a. he says the hardest part about staying in character is being a jerk to some very intelligent people- true. we were told colbert is a real pro and the show is always one take, because he never makes mistakes. in fact they said if he does make a mistake he will kiss someone on the mouth. of course, then he goes to taping and .. messed up a line, no one got a kiss though. definitely a fun, free thing to do in the city though, oh and also military doesn't have to stand in line ;)
