recently i had an amazing experience thanks to my girl ty at jersey city's boca grance, celebrating the restaurant owner, keith mannino's birthday. we had an amazing 12 course chefs tasting menu paired with different types and ages of scotch. the food was delicious and we definitely opened up our palettes to detect the subtleties of flavors in the scotch-- a caramel toasted marshmallow hint, a breeze of sea salt, a medium short finish-- we're pros. ;)
